This RIMOWA TROPICANA Piccolo camera case boasts a robust, shock-resistant construction. Its airtight seal ensures it's resistant to humidity, extreme heat, and extreme cold. It includes a latch lock key. Vintage 1990s.
■Rimowa is known for its suitcases, but it was Rimowa that developed the first waterproof camera case in 1976. When traveling by plane, there are large differences in temperature and air pressure. Even under such conditions, Rimowa camera cases are highly sealed, making them not only waterproof but also moisture-proof and resistant to condensation. Their compact size means they can be stored in an ultra-lightweight suitcase made of polycarbonate or other materials, achieving both mobility and protection for precision equipment.
■The condition is good, with minor dents, scuffs, scratches, and rust (slightly on the back of the strap hardware) due to age, but no major dents and a beautifully maintained shape. The interior has a hole of about φ8mm in one of the resin inserts, but other than that it is clean and undamaged and does not interfere with use. A dedicated strap with a flat hook is included.
This sturdy aluminum alloy camera case will develop a unique character with use. It can also be used to store, keep, and transport a variety of other precision equipment and valuables.
