The body of the ballerina is drawn in pencil and ink, while the skirt is rendered in fine tissue paper, adding texture and really bringing the movement to life. 

The work is signed by the artist and dated 2018.

The frame measures 52cm wide by 69cm high.

About the Artist

Livvy King (b.1995) is a British interdisciplinary artist living in Buckinghamshire and working in Oxford. She graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2025 with a Master’s Degree in Fine Art and has exhibited her work nationally, participating in group shows between London and Oxford. She has also participated in UK based artist residencies and metal working courses.

King’s practice explores the depth of psychological experience, using colours found, but often overlooked, in nature to create expanded paintings, sculptures, and prints.
