For your consideration...

The 1912 first edition as well as the first printing of the 1912 hardcover book titled "THE JAPANESE NATION-Its Land, Its People, And  Its Life" by Inazo NitobĂ©.  Published by G.P. Putnam's Sons in New York, the book delves into the history of Japan, its people, and lifestyle. Written in English, it provides a unique insight into the culture and traditions of the Japanese nation during that time period. Perfect for collectors and history enthusiasts, this original 1st edition/1st printing is a valuable addition to any antiquarian and collectible book collection.

It is in extraordinary condition! I would say nearing fine. Binding is tight, no loose or torn pages. The pages are clean & bright. The cloth front & back covers are clean. The gold gilt lettering is still shiny and bright, only slightly faded on the spine. The sun on the front cover shows some loss of gold. The corners are slightly bumped - but those were the only issues I could find.
