This auction features the 1949 Mercury 8 sport coupe, 1/18th scale diecast, made by ERTL Diecast for their Entertainment Series. This is the Carbon Black Issue like the one driven by Movie Star, James Dean in the 1955 movie Rebel Without a Cause. Car was kept securely in a locked showcase (no damage). It comes in the original box. 

FoMoCo early Muscle Car is approximately 10" long and in beautiful condition. It has opening doors and hood, steerable wheels and is free rolling on whitewall tires and chrome wheel covers. Includes detailed Ford Flathead V8  engine. Interior has a two-toned bench bench seat and readable dash. 

This 1:18 scale diecast has accurate FoMoCo Carbon Black paint and the interior detail is of nice quality, as well. Lots of little details, with fender skirts and side trim, just like in the movie. You won't be disappointed adding this excellent limited edition diecast to your James Dean Movie Car or Mercury Eight 1:18 diecast collection.
