This is a vintage Japanese kanna plane from the late Showa to early Heisei period, marked with the maker name “Ryutaro.”
Blade width is approx 67mm and this piece comes complete with its original main blade and chipbreaker.
This is an unused dead stock item.
Both the blade and chipbreaker are in very good condition with no major rust or chips.
A light preparation or sharpening will make it ready for professional use.
The chipbreaker is stamped “Toyo Registered,” indicating that this was an officially registered product at the time, which adds to its authenticity and collectability.
