Powered by the HLK-LD2410C millimeter-wave radar module, the system accurately detects both moving and stationary human presence up to 6 meters indoors. Compared to PIR sensors, it delivers superior precision, greater automation flexibility, and more reliable occupancy detection in challenging environments.
Built around the ESP32-C3 SuperMini Plus MCU with an external antenna, the main controller offers stronger Wi-Fi coverage and improved signal stability.
The device consists of two physically separated modules connected by a flexible cable with magnetic POGO connectors.
Main Module: A multi-sensor controller equipped with the LD2410C radar for presence detection.
Dependent Module: A dedicated temperature and humidity sensor based on the AHT-20.
Separating the climate sensor from the main controller eliminates heat interference, delivering significantly more accurate and realistic temperature and humidity readings. The modules communicate over I²C, allowing seamless expansion with additional I²C sensors when needed — without upgrading the main controller.
Each device is pre-flashed with a ready-to-use ESPHome firmware, so there’s no configuration required. Simply connect to the device hotspot, enter your Wi-Fi credentials, and it will automatically appear in Home Assistant — no YAML editing, no ESPHome installation.
