Lionel 2533841 Southern Pacific LEGACY SD40T-2 #8232
Although only built for two American railroads, the SD40T-2s have now lived many lives. Built to prevent overheating in the many tunnels along the Southern Pacific and Rio Grande, today these units can be found hauling Minnesota taconite and West Virginia coal among other things. This run of LEGACY SD40T-2s includes as-delivered Rio Grande and Southern Pacific schemes, unique Union Pacific patch out and repaints, and some 3rd/4th/5th owner schemes for the Bessemer, Canadian National (both similar SD45T-2 prototypes) and Wheeling and Lake Erie. Models feature road name-specific details including multiple lighting configurations.
