Synopsis:

In this issue, readers are introduced to Kamandi, a teenage survivor in a post-apocalyptic future where a mysterious event known as the Great Disaster has devastated civilization and led to the rise of intelligent, humanoid animals who now dominate the planet. Living in the ruins of a scientific bunker called Command D, Kamandi ventures out into the shattered world after the death of his grandfather, encountering savage mutants, militant tiger-men, and remnants of lost human culture. This explosive debut sets the tone for a series defined by its high-concept world-building, combining science fiction, dystopian survival, and social commentary in a bold, imaginative narrative. Drawing inspiration from Planet of the Apes and infused with creator-driven innovation, the story marked a turning point in DC’s Bronze Age of Comics, cementing Kamandi’s place as a cult-favorite character and showcasing the creative force behind the era’s most ambitious storytelling.

Shipping:

Unless noted, raw comics ship individually bagged and boarded. Up to 6 Standard 32 page comics (3 Oversize) will be packed in a magazine bag, sandwiched with cardboard and shipped in a rigid mailer. Orders of over 6 Standard or 3 Oversize comics will be packed securely and ship boxed. There is a limit of 2 Standard with 2 Oversize comic books to a mailer.
