This rear differential rebuild kit is engineered for for Mercedes GLS‑Class (X167) and GLE‑Class (W167) vehicles. Installation Notes

Ensure all old bearing races and seals are fully removed before installation.
Clean the differential housing thoroughly to prevent contamination.
Use a proper bearing press for assembly; do not hammer bearings.
Install oil seals flush and evenly; avoid tilting or over‑driving the seal lips.
Lubricate seal lips with gear‑oil‑safe grease before assembly to avoid dry start.
Set preload and backlash according to factory specifications.
Use GL‑5 mechanical differential gear oil; friction‑modifier additives are not required.
Ensure differential breather is not blocked to avoid pressure build‑up and leakage.
Torque all fasteners to OEM values using a calibrated torque wrench.
Test drive briefly and inspect for abnormal noise or oil leakage.
Recheck differential oil level after 50–100 km of driving.
