Orthoceras was an ancient predatory marine animal that lived approximately 400 million years ago.

They were found in all of the temperate oceans of the world including the Mediterranean Sea offshore from what is now Morocco.  Orthoceras was a formidable hunter reaching lengths up to 14 feet and probably ate trilobites and crustaceans.
