ANTIQUE SOUVENIR TEASPOON

Lovely antique sterling silver souvenir teaspoon measuring 5-1/2" long - weight is 16.4 grams. Bearing the Watson mark and stamped STERLING, it bears the Latin phrase "Nil Since Numine", meaning "Nothing without Providence" or "Nothing without the divine will", which was the adopted motto of the state of Colorado in 1861. Bearing crossed mining tools on the crest, it is marked COLORADO, and finished with a floral basket on the handle tip - bowl is engraved "MONTROSE".

Condition is lovely with no dents, plating loss, bends or damage - very fine age related scratching - it has been lightly hand polished. Finish is warm and original -- an wonderful spoon - lovely addition to any collection or display!
