Delightful Vintage Alberto Lena Italian Folk Art, Composite Wood Figure, 1950s

This charming vintage Alberto Lena wood composite figurine of a whistling boy that captures both the artistry and charm that is associated with the maker.

The boy, depicted in a playful pose with a cheerful expression, he has a what may be newspapers or books below one arm. The boy has minimal painted detail to the eyes and mouth.

The wood composite material has a warm, rich dark brown finish, enhancing its visual appeal by mimicking carved wood. The outer surface has crackled with age, there are some very minor loses.

The base has residue of the original label in position.

The figure measures approx. 19cm tall.
