SIZE: This piece measures 7 & 1/4" in height; 4" in width at middle, widest point ~ Top measures about 2 & 3/8" x 2 & 3/8" and bottom measures about 2 & 1/2" x 2 & 1/2 Circular



DESCRIPTION:  This auction features a vintage to antique Chinese Cloisonne enamel vase. The base color appears to be a yellow-green enamel. The exterior is incredibly ornate and bears interconnecting flourishes and vines. The focal point appears to be the somewhat abstract lotus flower. This bears enameling in blue, pink, red, and blue. The upper and lower areas are also enameled in a deep blue color. The metal appears to be brass -- but I will openly admit this is an educated guess. The very bottom is also enameled in blue, as well. 


MARKINGS: Although I did look, I did not find any maker's marks or names. 


CONDITION: FAIR ~ I am considering the age and use when factoring the condition rating.  I do feel this item is in Fair condition with age and use considered. I did check the enameling and do not see any major breaks, chips, or missing pieces. The bottom does have a somewhat odd look to the blue enamling, but I do feel this was likely the way it was made -- and not a flaw caused by the previous owner. The only real area of concern I found was a very small ding into the bottom edge of the base metal. I have shown this in one of the pictures, as well. Although this is difficult to see unless you're looking for it, I did still want to note it for accuracy. Please do view the pictures carefully to see this. There are some minor surface scratches seen but I don't personally feel these are too unusual for the age. As I do understand the vast difference between "tarnishing" and "patina," I will leave any cleaning or polishing to the new owner. Although it has definitely been used and loved in the past, I do feel -- once cleaned -- it will have years of life left in it. 


AGE/YEAR MADE:  Although I am unsure how old this vase is, I do still feel it is vintage.

*** I strive to make your buying experience with me as excellent as I can. With that said, please contact me if you are unhappy! I will do everything possible to correct the problem. On nearly all of my items, if you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you are welcome to return it for a full refund within two weeks (14 days) from the day it was received. Return shipping will be paid by the buyer, though. In certain cases, I may sell an item for a close friend of family member that does not belong to me. Those are usually the only instances that I do not allow returns. I figure, if the item does not belong to me, I should allow that decision to be made by the person who does own it.
