The collection is dedicated to one of the most dramatic and "closed" pages in the history of the Ukrainian people - the famine of 1932-1933. Unique, newly declassified archival materials have been published for the first time, reflecting the true causes, chronological course and consequences of the tragedy. The articles of the scientists highlight the socio-economic and moral aspects of the implementation of Stalin's policy of collectivization and grain procurement in the republic, which became the direct cause of food shortages and then a terrible famine.
