  • Shuka Takahashi (1877–1953) was a Japanese painter born in Okayama Prefecture.
He studied under Kinryo Ishii, Kako Tsuji, and later Harukyo Yamamoto, joining the Sanae-kai painting school.
Takahashi exhibited at national art shows such as Bunten and gained recognition when his “Peony Painting” was purchased by the French government at the Japan–France Art Exchange Exhibition in Paris (1922).
Influenced by the Maruyama school and the floral style of Shūki Okamoto, his works are known for their elegant composition, refined color palette, and serene beauty.
