An attractive antique two-tone salt-glazed stoneware jug, likely English from the Victorian era (late 19th Century), possibly Doulton Lambeth Staffordshire/Lambeth maker. It features a rich brown upper glaze and a buff-coloured lower body adorned with detailed, white-ish relief-moulded 'sprig' decoration depicting a classic hunting scene, including a huntsman and running hares/hounds. Perfect for a collector of English brownware, stoneware, or tavern/harvest jugs. A fantastic piece of antique country kitchenalia or barware. Minor wear consistent with age, please see all photos.
