35th anniversary reissue of the Scottish trio’s only studio album, pressed on 180 gram audiophile vinyl and limited to just 500 numbered copies on gold coloured wax. Led by Pauline Henry’s powerhouse vocals, The Chimes blends acid jazz, house, and soul with a distinctly UK groove. Includes the hit “1-2-3”, co-produced by Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B and Nellee Hooper, and their gospel-tinged R&B remake of U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”, which reached #6 on the UK singles chart. A cult favourite and college radio staple, now finally reissued for collectors and crate diggers.
