1946 Press Photo Baby Found in Shopping Bag Placed in Hospital Incubator
This is an original press photo. Children - abandoned. Reading, Pennsylvania: Dr. Milan Chepko and Nurse Helen Aur place a nameless baby, found yesterday in a rain-soaked shopping bag, into an incubator at the Community General Hospital. Dr. Chepko said the baby has a "fair chance" of surviving although when found, the infant was suffering from a fractured skull and lacerations.Photo measures 6.25 x 7.25inches. Photo is dated 12-30-1946.
