In 19th-century Japan, artists carved drama, comedy, and ghosts into wood, then inked and printed them for the masses. These prints, known as ukiyo-e, blended satire, folklore, and daily life into vivid visual narratives—the original mangas! 🏯 Each fragile sheet holds a story printed nearly 200 years ago, when popular art was handmade and storytelling was carved in wood. 🎨 You can still see some of the hand painted colors in some of these. 🏷️ take the lot in a beautiful mulberry folder with artisan stamp.
