EXODUS 28:27-30:12

Exodus 28:27-29 describes how to attach the breastplate to the ephod with rings and blue cord: 
Exodus 28:27
Make two more gold rings and attach them to the bottom of the shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod. 
Exodus 28:28
Bind the breastplate to the rings of the ephod with blue cord, so that the breastplate is above the ephod's intricately woven band and does not come loose. 
Exodus 28:29
Aaron will wear the breastplate of judgment on his heart when he enters the holy place to carry the names of the children of Israel as a memorial before the Lord
