Beautiful Antique Holiday Postcard Collection –

288 Total (48 per Holiday Set, circa 1907–1915)

Offered here is an extraordinary collection of 288 original early-1900s embossed and lithographed holiday postcards, representing six complete themes of 48 cards each — Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Birthday, and Thanksgiving.

These are all authentic period postcards, most postmarked between 1907 and 1915, during the golden age of postcard sending. Each card features stunning color lithography, raised embossing, and period sentiments capturing the warmth, humor, and artistry of turn-of-the-century America.

Publishers include Raphael Tuck & Sons, Whitney Made Worcester, PFB Series, International Art Publishing Co., and several German firms renowned for their fine embossing and gilt work.

Highlights for Collectors

Embossed & Gilt Finishes: Dozens of richly raised designs with gold and silver highlights.

Classic Imagery: Santas, angels, turkeys, Pilgrims, rabbits, chicks, children, flowers, patriotic Uncle Sam motifs, and early automobiles.

Artist-Signed & German-Printed Examples: Several pieces bear printed artist credits or “Printed in Germany” marks typical of pre-WWI quality.

Postal History Value: Nearly every card is postally used with fine early 1¢ Franklin and 2¢ Washington stamps, plus clear cancels from small towns across Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, and New York.

Rare Cancels & Early Postal Use: Includes Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s 1910-1911, Valentine’s 1912, and Thanksgiving 1913 postmarks, plus several flag cancels, RFD route markings, and small discontinued post offices.

Condition:

Overall very good for age – light corner or edge wear typical of gentle mailing; strong color and embossing retained. Each card is photographed front and back for reference.
