This is an AMAZING VINTAGE Jali open work hanging plate made mainly of brass, but includes copper and other metals.  It features a jali open work design with Islamic Arabic holy lines from the Quran written on the face.  The plate hails from Afghanistan or India, with a rich history dating back to the early 20th century.  Its antique originality and tritone color add to its charm and authenticity.  This is a BEAUTIFUL example of jali open work that is a perfect piece for any Asian or Islamic art collector.  This piece is about 9.5 inches in diameter and has a small ring attached to the back for easy hanging.  This piece is in VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION!  There is some oxidation due to the age of the piece, but there aren't noticeable dents or any broken pieces.
