Trivia
Kitaichi Glass is a historic glassware company founded in 1901 in Otaru, Hokkaido, renowned for its exquisite handcrafted glass pieces and oil lamps that originally lit the city's herring fishing boats.
Ominaeshi (maiden flower), one of the Seven Flowers of Autumn in Japanese poetry, symbolizes beauty and elegance, making it a refined decorative motif for sake vessels.
Guinomi (literally "gulp drink") are larger than standard ochoko sake cups, typically used for more casual sake drinking where larger sips are acceptable, reflecting a relaxed drinking style.
The frosted glass technique creates a soft, matte texture that diffuses light beautifully while providing an elegant contrast to the etched floral designs.
Ice chamber decanters allow sake to be chilled without dilution, maintaining the drink's flavor profile while keeping it at the ideal serving temperature for ginjo or daiginjo styles.
