Originally released in 1971, Africa’s Blood marked the first album credited directly to Lee “Scratch” Perry, though The Upsetters feature prominently throughout. This 2025 reissue from Music On Vinyl is pressed on 180g purple audiophile vinyl and limited to 1,000 individually numbered copies. A genre-blending snapshot of early ’70s Jamaican music, the album fuses dub, reggae, and American R&B influences with Perry’s signature production wizardry.
