The archaeological materials presented in the proposed scientific collection allow us to significantly supplement our understanding of the early history of the city of Zvyagel-Novograd-Volynskyi, as well as to clarify a number of important issues of the early history of our country and its integration from the very first steps not only to pan-European processes, but also to the establishment of close contacts with the world of Asian and Far Eastern countries. The local history studies presented in the collection contribute a new layer of important source information about the Middle Ages, modern times, and the modern history of the ancient city of Novograd-Volynskyi. They highlight various aspects of the life of the city and its large district. Interesting studies have been conducted on the economic development of the medieval city. A separate block is made up of works related to the coverage of ancient folk customs and rituals that have survived to the present day and are becoming less and less every day. Separately, it is worth mentioning a number of works that touch on modern times - the tragic periods of our country's history that it endured in the 20th century.
