Fallen Kingdom is a strategy-based puzzle game that combines traditional chess mechanics with unique gravity-based challenges. Players control blue chess pieces on a board, aiming to defeat the opposing red king.

Unlike classic chess, gravity acts on the pieces after each move, causing them to stack on top of one another, which adds a layer of complexity to the gameplay. The game requires players to navigate obstacles, plan moves carefully, and use tactics to reach and capture the red king. Each chess piece, from pawns to kings, has its own set of movement rules, but the gravity mechanic makes every move unpredictable.

Some levels introduce additional elements like keys, buttons, and forcefields, further enhancing the puzzle-solving aspect. Stacking pieces strategically is essential to progress, allowing players to reach higher platforms and unlock new areas. The game’s unique blend of chess strategy and puzzle-solving makes for a challenging and engaging experience. With its simple yet deep mechanics, Fallen Kingdom offers a fresh take on the classic game of chess.

It\'s worth noting that the game was ranked second in the ABBUC Software Contest 2021.

This cartridge version released in 2025 contains all the levels from the original version, plus a second set of completely new levels with interesting new ideas and mechanics. There are 31 levels from the original version, and 28 additional levels called Lost Boards. After completing both sets, we have two different game endings.
