Synopsis:

In the 2007 “The Black Glove” storyline, Batman and Robin are invited to a secluded island by the enigmatic billionaire John Mayhew. There, they reunite with the Club of Heroes—a group of international vigilantes inspired by Batman, including the Knight and Squire, El Gaucho, Man-of-Bats and Raven Red, the Musketeer, the Legionary, the Ranger, and Wingman. The gathering takes a sinister turn as members of the group are systematically murdered, leading to suspicion and paranoia among the heroes. It is eventually revealed that Mayhew orchestrated the deadly reunion in collaboration with the nefarious Black Glove organization, aiming to test the heroes’ resolve and eliminate them. This arc delves into themes of trust, legacy, and the global influence of Batman’s crusade, while reintroducing and redefining the Club of Heroes for modern audiences. The storyline is notable for its intricate narrative and exploration of Batman’s impact on international vigilantes, contributing to the depth and complexity of the Batman mythos.

Shipping:

Unless noted, raw comics ship individually bagged and boarded. Up to 5 Standard 32 page comics (3 Oversize) will be packed in a magazine bag, sandwiched with cardboard and shipped in a rigid mailer. Orders of over 5 Standard or 3 Oversize comics will be packed securely and ship boxed. There is a limit of 2 Standard and 2 Oversize comic books to a mailer.

Purchases of multiple items within 24 hours will receive an invoice for combined shipping  at the below rates within 48 hours of the first purchase. Shipping costs will not be refunded if paid prior to receiving an invoice.
