This is an original press photo. Production worker Mary Kilpin discusses clock parts with Terry L. Nemac, Operations Manager of Quartex, Incorporated, at the company's manufacturing plant in Lake Geneva. Quartex, which employs about 125 people, is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a manufacturer of quartz clock movements. Quartex President Paul Wessel noted that the Japanese had 100% of the US market for quartz clock movements 10 yeas ago, but now Quartex has about 60% of the market. The public is invited to attend an open house at Quartex from 9 a.m. to noon September 8. The company is at 1012 Host Drive on the southeast edge of Lake Geneva.Photo measures 9.5 x 6 inches.
