The Maserati Shamal is a two-door grand tourer manufactured by Maserati from 1990 to 1996. Designed by Marcello Gandini and named for a wind keeping with tradition, the Shamal acted as Maserati's flagship model, powered by a newly-developed 3.2L AM 479 twin-turbocharged V8 mated to a 6-speed Getrag 560G manual; the engine produced 322 horsepower. This was the last Maserati car produced under De Tomaso ownership.
