Contender Single Wrap Rope Bracelet with
Stainless Steel Brummels (also original tag and cloth bag)
Unisex Size Medium for a 6.5” Wrist in Sports Blue (Navy with woven blue accents)
KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY
- Brummels were invented by an English naval officer in the 1800’s to quickly raise signal flags aboard sailing ships and are still used by sailors today.
- Use a fabric tape measure (not metal) to measure your wrist; alternatively you can use a piece of string around your wrist, mark with a pen, and measure the string with a ruler.
- Connecting a pair of brummels is quick and easy to do—just hold each brummel’s opening opposite and at ninety degrees to each other (like an upside-down capital T) and slide the openings into each other.
- Practice just opening and closing the brummels before attempting to wear—it is fun.
- Don’t give up, layer a dish towel on your knee (for traction), drape the bracelet over your wrist and try connecting—it works!
- Watch the videos on the SailormadeUSA website to get help if needed.
- You decide whether to wear the hardware showing atop your wrist or underneath
- The marine rope is made to get wet repeatedly—dunking or swimming is fine.
- This bracelet was gifted to me but in a size too small. It is brand new and the MSRP is $68. I never returned it within the return period and so I am offering it here at half price of $34. I am not accepting offers for a lower price.
- Unisex Size Medium is too small for most men but is fine for many women and older youths. Do Not Guess size—be sure to measure the wearer’s wrist before buying. Note that the photo with the ruler shows the bracelet length is 7.5” which is necessary to wrap around a 6.5” wrist.
- The marine rope is made of synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon or polypropylene to withstand harsh conditions. It is manufactured in the USA. The stainless steel hardware is also of USA origin.
