Originally released in 1978, More Songs About Buildings and Food is Talking Heads’ second studio album and the first of three produced by Brian Eno. This reissue captures the band’s shift toward a more danceable, rhythm-driven sound, blending David Byrne’s eccentric vocal delivery with Tina Weymouth’s bass and Chris Frantz’s drums. The album’s standout cover of Al Green’s “Take Me to the River” propelled it into the mainstream, while the rest of the tracklist showcases angular funk, surreal lyricism, and proto-art-rock precision.
