This is a used SSD hard drive.  It's in great working condition.  I installed the operating system High Sierra (10.13.3) on it.  

Just take the bottom cover off your MacBook Pro and and install it.  If you want I can provide a video tutorial.

Again, it's a HOT SWAP hard drive.  You just install it and boot it up.  You don't have to wait your time installing an operating system.  I have done it for you.

It's a solid state drive (SSD).  It's 10X faster than a mechanical hard drive, doesn't have any moving parts, and certainly is a great upgrade for your MacBook Pro. Truth be told, I only use SSD hard drives because they are faster and more dependable, period.

It doesn’t include any mounting screws or screws for your MacBook.

I do recommend that you have at least 8GB of RAM on your Mac.
