From the first day after the accident on April 26, 1986, specialists from the Kurchatov Institute took part in the work to eliminate its consequences. In 1987, the Complex Expedition was created at the Kurchatov Institute, the main goal of which was to conduct research at the Shelter facility. From 1986 to 1991, more than 700 Kurchatov workers worked at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Research was conducted both in Chernobyl at the destroyed unit and at the Moscow site.
Material is aluminium, ( light metal). Size: 0,79" by 0,98", 20 mm by 25 mm.
