ANTIQUE APOTHECARY JAR

Wonderful antique pharmacy or apothecary glass jar measuring 10" in height. Featuring a hand blown round jar with banded shoulder, original stopper with both ground edge and collar, it is decorated with an old oval glass label marked OL. LIMON. accented in gold with black lettering on a cream ground. Bottle condition is very good with a minor chip off the top edge as shown - stopper has roughness and nipping around the molded dome top edge, label has light staining and age related wear, and bottle shows residue on the interior bottom third from contents drying within the jar - I did not try to remove or clean this. None of these minor issues detract -- bottle bears a rough pontil and probably came out of an old apothecary or pharmacy. Just a wonderful antique bottle - it has the look! Fun addition to any collection or display!
