They are made of tin and painstakingly painted by hand.
They belong to the "Nuremberg" typology which
stands out for the two-dimensional manufacture of toy soldiers and for this
reason they are also called "Flats".

Heinrichsen has founded its tin figure factory in Nuremberg in 1839 and, due to
his mass production, established a standard height for tin figures, standard
known as “Nürnberger Maß”
