Bio-Rad ProteomeWorks Spot Cutter 

For sale- a Bio-Rad ProteomeWorks Spot Cutter Model 527 BR.  The main body of the unit is in very good physical condition as pictured.  When powered up and you press the Start button the upper mechanism/camera holder goes through what I assume is an initialization procedure.  I used to have pictures with the Roper Scientific Camera attached, but the idiots at ebay blew out a thousand of my listings for no reason and I am just getting around to relisting this.  The camera is included and pictured with the various accessories being offered as part of the sale.

Those accessories include two different software disks, the cable to link the Spot Cutter to a computer AND the computer interface board as pictured.  The reason I know for sure that the board is the interface board for the spot cutter is because someone took the time to write “for Bio-Rad spot cutter“ on the anti-static bag it’s in.  Also includes the manual and a few other pieces.  What you see is what you get.

The main piece minus the camera weighs in at 60+ pounds, so it will no doubt be about 70 to ship, and the accessories another 20 pounds or so besides.  Given the shipping costs involved I am selling for parts or repair only, NO RETURNS will be allowed.  There are a couple more of these listed but if you don’t have the interface board and you don’t have the cable to go from the interface to the spot cutter and you don’t have the software I am guessing you are probably out of business.  At least this one maybe you have a chance.  I would assume the software would not be compatible with current versions of Windows, so you might have to retrofit an older computer running something it likes better.

Please add a $139.99 flat rate for shipping anywhere in the continental US (which does NOT include Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam or APO/FPO addresses).  I will ship via the carrier and level of service of my choice unless we specifically decide on a favored carrier option.  I used to use the ebay shipping calculator for heavy things like this but these days it would be trying to charge you two or three times the actual cost.

If this item requires a standard modular computer style AC cord, I no longer ship those automatically as I figure most people have a box full of them by now.  If you need one and request it I will be happy to include one as long as I don’t think it compromises the shipment.  If the piece ships without this request NO AC cord will be included and I will NOT ship one after the fact.
