Origin: Likely mid-20th century Chinese folk/parade style drum

Design: Double-sided with hand-painted imagery:

One side shows a phoenix

The other side shows a dragon

Construction:

Wooden body painted in red

Natural hide drumheads

Secured with large metal tacks around rim

Includes: Original wooden striker stick (shown in photos)

Condition: Vintage condition with expected wear consistent with age and use — cracking to hide, rim wear, some paint fading, and loss on edges (see photos). Displays beautifully with authentic patina.
