This listing is for a Nintendo GameCube optical drive service and repair to get your console reading discs like new again! Whether you have a DOL-001 or DOL-101 model, it doesn't matter. I have professionally cleaned and repaired 50+ drives—as you can see from the container of bad capacitors in the photos—and I use high-end equipment to complete all of these repairs.
Optical Drive Recap & Repair — $45
After Purchase: I will send you the address to ship out your GameCube disc drive. The buyer is responsible for shipping costs (a tracking number is highly recommended).
After Shipment: Once I receive your drive, I will make sure it wasn't damaged during transport, begin evaluating your drive, and make the necessary repairs.
After Successful Repair: I will contact you when the repairs are completed and the disc drive passes quality control checks. It will be packed very well and sent back to you!
We vigorously test all drives for hours after repairs to ensure uninterrupted gameplay!
Most drives are repairable, but if your laser is completely dead or your board has gone bad, recapping alone won't help. I do have spare parts and replacement boards on hand in this case, which can be purchased if necessary to complete your repairs.
All send-in repairs include a thorough evaluation. A diagnostic fee may apply for consoles requiring extensive troubleshooting beyond standard drive maintenance.
