If the lcd of your old Whites Spectrum XLT or DXF is showing just lines and is illegible this the part you need. It's a replacement LCD for your vintage Whites metal detector with white backlite. It includes repair instructions. You will need good soldering and mechanical skills to install this. Requires disassembly of the head unit and trimming of the case bosses to make this part fit. Two resistors need to be replaced which are included.  Comprehensive written instructions are included. Note that the backlight will always be on, but new technology draws very little battery power, so I'd leave it on (leaving the backlite off is an option)
