Description
"With a Pack Train in the Rockies," by Reginald T. Townsend. Photographs by H. Armstrong Roberts and John Murray Gibbon, who was their host for the trip. Pages measure 9.5 x 13.5 inches, trimmed slightly. Great article of the people - guides, including Madeleine Turner, only girl guide in British Columbia; cowboys, artists, prominent advertising man from Chicago, Byron Harmon of Banff (Alpine climber and photographer), perhaps Senor Blasco Ibanez (name noted in a caption). Describes their trip in the Canadian Rockies including Lake Gibbon, Vermillion River, Wolverine Pass. Many photos. Art shown on a tent by an unidentified artist. Notes that Gibbon conceived of the Trail Riders of the Rockies Association on the trip. Fascinating article & photos.
