A 4 inch tall rectangular-shaped amber colored antique bottle. The bottle is now completely EMPTY, there is NO contents, but it that originally came filled with 100 IPECAC OPIUM PILLS that contained pulverized Opii, pulverized Ipecac, noted on the label as IPECAC and OPIUM pills. This bottle is both EMBOSSED and has the PAPER LABEL on the back side. This bottle was originally part of an old Frontier Town drug store display that was shut down and sold off. Some of the bottles label’s were copies of original labels so the label on this bottle may or may not be original. Repitition for emphasis, this bottle is both EMBOSSED and LABELED and it is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating back to the late 1800s - early 1900 era.
- Bottle embossed: "McKESSON / & ROBBINS".
- Condition: The bottle is in shiny clean condition BUT IT HAS A SIGNIFICANT CHIP OFF OF THE BACK SIDE OF THE LIP. It is somewhat seen in pictures 4 and 5. It is a clean break with no cracks coming off of it, ripe for repair, but it is there. Otherwise the bottle is in ABSOLUTELY MINT condition. It has NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. PLEASE see pictures to get good idea of bottle’s overall appearance / CONDITION.
- Age: An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, dating from the late 1800s - early 1900 era.
- Shipping: FREE shipping. We DO ship Internationally but we do NOT insure International orders unless buyer specifically requests this and we are able to provide an insurance estimate. If an international shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what YOU pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the ACTUAL shipping costs! This is important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are estimates. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time.
A nice amber color. Even the cork has a paper gasket put in place by the manufacturer to prevent air from breaking the seal. The label on this bottle goes on to say ... "PREPARED BY McKesson & Robbins (just what the embossing says) Manufacturing Chemists, NEW YORK." It is rare to find a bottle that lists Opium, Ipecac, and Opii on the label, which are all terms for Opium. LIKEWISE, it is rare to find a bottle that is EMBOSSED and LABELED and the EMBOSSING is the same as what is on the LABEL, ESPECIALLY IN THIS NEARLY PERFECT condition, check it out!
