Fatal Fury is the original entry in SNK’s legendary fighting series, ported to the Sega Genesis by Takara in 1993. Set in the gritty streets of South Town, players join Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, and Joe Higashi as they fight their way through the King of Fighters Tournament. Unlike later fighters, Fatal Fury introduced two-plane battle arenas, letting you dodge in and out of the background for tactical depth.
With six unique locations, a roster of tough opponents, and arcade-style special moves, Fatal Fury became the foundation of the franchise that later inspired Fatal Fury 2, Fatal Fury Special, and The King of Fighters series. This Genesis port captures the arcade experience with 1–2 player action, atmospheric music, and the classic SNK fighting style.
