This necklace is in good used vintage condition.  No scratches, cracks, repairs -  and the clasp works properly.

Moon and star jewelry has seen several peaks in popularity, notably in the Victorian era (19th century) due to its symbolism of love and guidance, and again in the late 1950s through the early 1970s, coinciding with the Space Race and the moon landing. The motif also appeared in the Art Deco period (1930s) and continues to resurface in vintage and contemporary jewelry design. This necklace is likely from the 70's or 80's based on the motif and the barrel clasp.  Very heavy for its size as hematite is know for.  It will make a lovely gift for the moon and sun lover or a great addition to your jewelry collection
