Item Description:

This auction is for an old knife that was recently purchased from a local estate with a group of antique knives and swords. I have shown this to a couple of collectors and they both agree that this could be Civil War era and possibly Confederate.

The knife measures 13.8" long overall with a blade length of 9.6". The handle is some sort of ribbed metal. It shows heavy wear and tarnish with scratches and some scuffing on the high edges. The blade also shows heavy wear and has tarnish and heavy pitting. There are scratches and also several dings and small dents on the blade edges.
