Fender Japan Stratocaster Black w/ Monty's Guitars '54 Stratocaster Pickups Set

Description

Good Condition! w/soft case
We've just received a Fender Japan-made Stratocaster with significantly upgraded pickups, exclusive to our store!

This black Stratocaster, bearing the Q serial number "Made in Japan," was manufactured by Fujigen between 1993 and 1994. Because it's made in Japan, it maintains consistent quality and excellent value for money, while offering modern playability that's adaptable to a variety of styles.

The guitar features a classic maple neck with a thick grip, a 21-fret maple fingerboard, and simple 1-volume/2-tone controls. The bridge tone control is disabled. The pickguard is single-ply, reminiscent of Eric Clapton's beloved Blackie pickup.

We've also replaced the original pickups with Monty's Guitars '54 Stratocaster Pickups Parchment. (Please note that the original pickups are not included.)

Monty's Guitars is a high-end pickup brand from London, UK. Founder Matt Gleeson meticulously analyzed vintage pickups and reimagined them for today's players, delivering the ultimate performance in any genre.

The '54 Stratocaster Pickup is a faithful reproduction of an original set from the early days of Stratocaster pickup production, reimagined for practical, on-the-go performance.

Common to great mid-'50s Stratocaster pickups, these pickups offer a Telecaster-esque midrange character, adding subtle thickness to the maple fretboard's signature attack, without sacrificing clarity or harmonic content. This rich midrange also provides the power to drive an amp when needed, producing a thick, clear, driven sound with a vintage feel.

Faithful to the originals, these pickups feature hand-chamfered magnets that precisely replicate the 1954 magnet stagger.

As with classic Fender pickups, all Monty's Stratocaster pickups are only partially potted. This frees up the center of the coil, resulting in a more responsive tone.

If you're looking for a guitar with the tone of the earliest period, but with practical specifications for live performance, this is the guitar for you.
