2x Collectable Vintage Allan Aldous “McGowen” H/B Novels, 1940s.

Includes-

“McGowan goes fishing” 1948, illustrated by Harold Ing,

“McGowan goes to sea” 1945 1st edition, illustrated by Miguel Mackinlay.

Cosmetically both of the books are generally in good condition for age with some marks, wear, creases, small nicks/splits, grubby marks, slight warping, discolouration/fading/browning, stains and pencil marks. The dust jackets have some splits, discolouration /fading/browning, stains and grubby marks. The pages have some handling wear, marks, creases, grubby marks, discolouration/browning/foxing, stains, small nicks, damp marks, dust/dirt etc from being in storage and rippling. But all pages are tight and present.

However plenty of life left in them.
