  • Planting Time: Sow in spring after frost, or start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost.
  • Spacing: 12–18 inches (30–45 cm) apart to allow airflow and prevent mildew.
  • Watering: Keep soil consistently moist; do not allow to dry out completely. Mulching helps retain moisture.
