High-Performance Electric Vehicle, IONIQ 5 N
The Hyundai N division is dedicated to motorsports and high-performance vehicles. The IONIQ 5 N is Hyundai N’s first electric car, equipped with dual motors and an AWD system delivering a total output of 650PS. As of 2024, it is recognized as the fastest electrified SUV on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. This IONIQ 5 N has been recreated as a Mini 4WD model through a collaboration between Hyundai Motor Company and Tamiya Korea.
AR Chassis – Pursuing Aerodynamics and Rigidity
The AR chassis is designed to deliver everything needed for Mini 4WD racing: strength, precision, expandability, and aerodynamics. The airflow underneath the chassis reduces power loss by cooling the motor and electronics during high-speed runs. Low-friction plastic bearings minimize drivetrain wear and enhance efficiency.
The underpanel and motor cover are designed for easy removal, allowing simple maintenance without dismantling the entire body. A rear skid bar helps control chassis attitude on slope sections and prevents the car from bouncing off track. The gear ratio is set to 3.5:1, offering an excellent balance of speed and stability.
