This is a wonderful antique from the 1800s by Villeroy & Boch/Mettlach of Germany. It is a small vase resembling a tree trunk, measuring about 4" tall, and 3 1/2" wide at the top. It is beautiful clay of two swirling colors, with attached grapes, vines and leaves in silver lustre. The base has the attached seal with the number 304, and the tiny VB mark. Several sources have the mark as dating from ca 1852-1873. This is in good condition. There is one small chip on the inner rim, as seen in the last photo. There is also a small heart shaped flake to the inner rim that is under the silver luster. There is a closeup of this in the second to last photo. There is some surface wear, mainly to the silver trim, but it looks very good overall. Please see my pictures, and thanks for viewing my listing.
