The Red Fairy Tale Book's (1969) cover shows signs of wear around the edges and one bent corner on the back cover as well as some minor tearing on the top of the spine. The inside of the book is readable though it has yellowed from age and has a few dog eared pages.

The Green Fairy Book (1974) has a worn cover as well with some marks on both the front and back. The inside is readable and clean as it was only skimmed a handful of times.
